EDM #106?? Sour

Not sure if this is EDM Challenge 105 or 106? I lost track and the challenges have not been numbered lately. I am surprised no one else thought of a dill pickle for this challenge. At first I could only think of lemons, then on to rhubarb (ultimate sour) cranberries, sour cream but when ' pickle' hit me I knew I had to do it. I even trekked out during a snow/ice storm to find a suitable subject, because I was inspired. Well here it is, this was so FUN and I hated to Stop. Luckily I was done because DH started eating them and ruined my arrangement. Pen on moleskin with WC glazes.

These pickles are just wonderful! Their shape, bumps and color are perfect. And, yes, they are sour, but a yummy sour. Isn't it funny how the answer to a challenge just hits us as perfect.

Great reflections, Sandy. You did a nice job on this.

This is challenge 106, by the way. They are always numbered when I first post them, but sometimes others don't include that number when they post their links.

You can also find a complete list on my blog and in the yahoogroup under 'files' if you want to sort out which you've done and not done.
I'm glad you're doing them and hope you're having fun!

Indeed, a different approach...and I like this drawing. Nice colors too.

Sandy, you did such a wonderful job rendering the brine and the pickles themselves--and the jar! I guess you really just did a great job on the whole darn thing. Colors, did I mention them? They're fantastic!

Great idea. My daughter would love this, her nickname is Pickles, she starting eating sour pickles at 3 yrs. You made my mouth water.

Really great job! Love the green! They are really well done. Also love the spirit of art you display ... the thinking up of something "different" and then going out and getting it and then creating a composition. I think that's just excellent! Cheers! Mary Ellen

This is really good. Love this loose style. Lots of charachter. I've been struggling with things to draw for this challenge (already drawn a lemon) but you've opened up some new routes for me! Nice work.

Gorgeous. I actually considered pickles first, but when I opened the fridge, there was only one left in the jar and it looked so lonely. You did a great job!
