Fresh off the easel. One of my favorite birds- Loud, Raucous and Beautiful. Sort of the blue tiger of the yard.

Blue has always been my favorite color, even as a little girl, perhaps that is part of the allure here. I think I captured his attitude.

Just Because

Every year I am attracted to the little bluish white pumpkins. Purely decorative although a cute model as well.

I only buy these little guys now as I don’t carve them any more and it seems so wasteful to just have them rot.  This guy will live on.

Three Little Figgies

After an exhaustive search I found fresh figs in my local farm market.  I have never had fresh unprocessed figs and I sought them out specifically to, paint and then eat. Then did not disappoint as a subject and I had fun adding palette knife work as well. They did however not taste great.
