Giving Thanks

After the feast was over, guests departed and clean up complete, there was one wish bone salvaged from our two 18# turkeys. This quick sketch called to me as the wishbone dried on the window sill over the sink. I had contemplated sketches all day long but there was NO time for sketching. That wishbone, got me thinking, counting my blessings (literally) and wishing for another wonderful year .

This is an amazing drawing. I love the way you've used so many colours, it works really well.

Having only this wishbone left is such a compliment to you...showing you how your guests enjoyed the feast! A lovely turkey too(hope it isn't one of the two that landed on your table?)

your Thanksgiving sketches are so charming. I immediately felt the love and warmth that was in many of our homes. I see the little ones in sunday best sitting quietly for a few minutes while being read to and I see belts loosened up and buttons undone after such a feast! Thanks for sharing!
