Sullivan's Farm is not far from home and I often pass by and admire the field and the buildings and remember a simpler time (or so I am told) Canadian geese often stop in for refuge. A few weeks ago I started this sketch and now I have finished the journal entry. I must now move on to sketch the farm buildings.
Tough days, but there is light now . Tough to write about, tough to endure, but I needed to record it, hopefully to look back and remember we made it through.
Some where within my blog surfing I came across a link to Phoebe http://cam.dellwo.com/ and I was instantly mesmerized. This intriguing, brilliantly colored humming bird is nurturing one surviving chick within a rosebush in sunny California. What better way to spend my time.
This glowing spot of life and joy had to be represented within my dreary little January journal.
I dare you not to take a peek, Phoebe won't mind!!
Decided to give this another try. Feeling so lack luster lately this seemed appropriate and a decent exercise too!
Life can throw us some curves for sure, I feel uncertain and insecure at the moment, but then again it is nothing until it is something!!!
Quite a sight to see them first thing in the morning, high up in the sun warming/drying their wings.
Saturday was fun although exhausting, so many memories with such beautiful little boys, Liam and Luke are 3 1/2 year old twins and Joey is almost the triplet :-) at 2 1/2. A lotta boy to contain on a cold Saturday, but we all survived to do it another day!
Done for my #1 Grand daughter, who gave thumbs up on the cookies we made over Christmas holiday.
Last night, tried to get come creative juices going - all I saw was browns, not a great page but representative I guess. January doldrums have Hit Hard.
