The oaks have been prolific this fall, it is almost hazardous to walk in the front yard! I believe this predicts a hard winter for New England?? But the squirrels sure love it - no hunting required, just gathering.
Beautiful page! Producing acorns every other year would explain why we had none here last year - which was a very hard winter - and have an abundance this year. I just hope that old wives tale is wrong!
I love this page! I LOVE acorns! My yard is full of black walnuts and many squirrels, too! I only have a few chestnuts, though. Acorns are my favorite but I don't have an oak tree!GREAT page!!
