On my easel - An occasional splurge and only One.  I am a true tea-totaller.  In reality I just like the look and sophistication of the various vodka martinis offered. The fancy ones are usually way too sweet for my tastes and I add ice so they dilute.  This one in the short glass just Had to be painted. 

Ladies who Lunch has been a wonderful idea. To pretend to be carefree and frivolous when life is definitely not so. This painting reminds me of just that feeling.

Well as usual Christmas is steamrolling at us and the mad rush to decorate, bake, shop and travel on and on looms.  Sad as the season is not meant to be such. It is hard to slow down and simplify and concentrate on family and our blessings and reflect.

In the spirit of simplification - here is a humble bow from Walmart.  It shines and glows  in the cold light of November  and all year for that matter. A lovely gift or simple touch of color for the season.

Chickens have personality for sure. My daughter has several varieties of hens that produce wonderful fresh eggs.  They love to roam the yard and remove bugs and ‘play’ as they forage and the kids find them amusing as well as annoying - real farm life where the cows and horse look on.  

The bull mastiff watches guard over all.

They don’t pose well so this is a conglomerate composition .
