EDM #100 Landscape

I have to admit, I do not like doing landscapes, they intimidate me; where to start, what to concentrate on, what to eliminate, what to enhance - I just tend to overwork them, so I do not do them. This EDM forced me to take time and work on a real landscape. This is a salt marsh a short distance from my home. New England is full of meadows and marshes and pines and trees and rock walls. The salt marsh is coastal of course - The tree was fun and had quite a bit of character so I added a close up of it as well as the rock wall - Rock walls are a study in themselves and I will have to work on one in depth. WC Molskine, pen and WC wash.

Sandy -- you did an incredible, beautiful job!! I used to live on the marsh and love the soft sounds of the wind thru the grasses-- your landscape captured so much of what I loved of that scene!! GREAT JOB!

this ink & wash looks great. I have a similar problem with landscapes but i'm hoping to tackle this soon.

Very nice....I think I like the narrow one the best, but they're all good. I'd be pleased if I could turn out such work!--Carol C.

Very nice Sandy! It's hard to believe you don't like doing landscapes when you see how successful this is. Maybe you'll start liking them now. You inspire me to get out and do one - I've been avoiding them for a while.

Great effort - I feel the same about landscapes - this could be Australia, except we don't have many stone walls.

NICE job on these landscapes! I love the format of them, too.

I feel the exact same way about trying my hand at landscapes- but boy, you really nailed these ones! Nicely observed, interesting composition, well done! I hope you had fun :)
