Summertime flowers

Trying out a lighter style from a travel sketchbook recently purchased - I like the quick free approach and it makes things stand out individually - seems a bit looser to me. this scan is a bit drab I am afraid - but all in all a nice fresh entry, reminiscent of the abundant flowers I see in beds all around town.

Love the more precise pen lines of the architecture and the loose garden. Really pretty Sandy.

Really nice! What is an artline pen? I use pitt pens but would like to explore new tools. Do you like it, the pen?
I agree with Shirley about the contrast between the sharp pen lines and the loose flowers...works really nice here.

It's so lovely Sandy, and a great way to re-enjoy the flowers around you.

What kind of sketchbook is? I don't want to miss anything :)

A very, very nice sketch...me too, I like the linework on the house and the free painting of the garden. And great to try a new approach, sounds like an interesting sketchbook?

Love the overall looseness of this sketch, and the shadows on the house are really nice. Scans can be dull, depending on the colors, and lighter colors don't always show. Most of us can mentally pump in more color because of the been-there-done-that factor.
