EDM 133 Peach

First Try at EDM #133 challenge "Peach"
Overworked and looks more like tangerines .
Try #2 looks more like a pumpkin
Last try, still way off the mark. At least I gave it a couple of tries - in looking at others posts I think I am way off on colors - I thought overworking was the main problem -but??? Anyway this one was fun

Nice work, Sandy. I prefer the painting of the three peaches on the plate - very nice composition. They do look a bit like nectarines, though. I had exactly the same problem the first time I painted my peaches, but then I switched to a red which had violet tones, rather than the cad red (more orange) that I orginally used.

LOVELY, SANDY!! I found this peach challenge very 'challenging' ... to be sure ... but I LOVE your watercolor one the best -- it looks like a peach and very juicy!

Hi sandy. thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. I like these peaches (for some reason the 2nd one is cropped on my computer). I don't think they are overworked. I don't quite understand that term since I think seeing the hand of the artist is really important in picture making. The more worked the better. There's always that exact moment to quit adding pigment to a piece though... These peaches are lovely.

oh, they are wonderful and you are being too hard on yourself. I had every intention of doing the peach challenge but every peach I bought this week....I ate!

Sandy, even though your colors is off, the composition of the three on the plate is superb. I can't offer any color advice as I don't paint, but your form is excellent and you gave it a really good try. I'm sure with some playing around you will come up with the perfect colors. Great job!
