Mid November in Connecticut, there is not a lot of color left, this sketch from outside my window seemed appropriate and simple to do from inside, toasty and warm as the wind blows.
this is a beautiful sketch Sandy, I love it! The colours are gnetle. yet captivating and your linework so sure and strong. I love the "zen' feel of the whole composition. Ronell

Wow! I really like it. The combination of black line, brown, orange and ochre. it's a really beautiful sketch. It looks like a peaceful autumn day.
You captured perfectly the transparency and ephemeral quality of the last leaves of autumn.
There's a Japanese look to this, Sandy - it's quite beautiful.
LOVELY LOVELY, Sandy! Our leaves have fallen off too -- sad to see them go, isn't it ...
this is beautiful - the strong lines, limited color, and perfect composition - just beautiful...

When I first looked at this i thought it was a photograph! It's so beautiful.
The background is especially gorgeous!
love the branch study. I was thinking of doing some branch/blossom paintings myself. The forms make such great negative spaces.
