Others have posted sketches of family china which I found intriguing. I decided to join in. (I would post links to their posts but I do not know how) This plate is old although I know nothing about it. This was done in WC pencil - the background is not what I expected.

Beautifully done Sandy! your plate is lovely. I just love using old china-- has such a wonderful feel to it.
This is lovely, old china has such beauty, which you have captured in this painting. I collect it, for the patterns, and love using it.
