For years I have longed for a chiminea for the back yard/ pool area. My husband was sure I would some how burn the neighborhood down - so no chiminea.
This year he finally agreed to an outdoor fireplace, far back from the house though :-) It is being installed and I can't wait to enjoy that outdoor fire and remember our camping days, and maybe toast a marshmallow or two .

Yeah for you!!!! You will love it! My friend had one on her (covered!) back patio, close to the outside edge, can't tell you how many evenings we spent by that! We finally bought one for our patio, it's metal not clay but becuase it sat out in the middle of the open patio, we didn't use it like the one at Donna's house, but we still enjoyed it.
Sandy, what fun!! You did a great job on both of these.
Im glad that you got one! Great job on the painting too!
Great sketch Sandy and yes, yippee for you, now summer needs to show up with abskets full of marshmellows! I learnt to eat "smores" when we lived in SC and haven't had it since, reading her made me feel like having one!

Oooh, lovely! I adore my chiminea, but they really only last a few years in this climate...the repeated freezing and thawing breaks down the clay. Looks like yours will LAST.
My new husband bought my replacement chiminea last year and I am SO happy...great gift!
Looks like a lot of fun barbecues at your house this summer!
Great wc of the chimenea...and i know you will love your fireplace...bytw i want to know if you are married to my dh..he always thinks even candles in my hands will burn down the house!
Oh the fun times you will have with this...Lucky you! :) Love both paintings...really great! :)
Beautifully illustrated. I am jealous of your chiminea!!!
