Since 1999 I have done the Race for the Cure (except for years where a wedding and a recent grandchild birth kept us away).It is held the day before Mother's Day and my children and now their children participate. This year we were 5 adults and 6 grandkids / 5 strollers strong, quite a workout, fun and a very momorable, worthy cause .

What a wonderful way to spend a family day.
I ran a 5k Race for the Cure years ago. I think it is time for another. I lost my favorite aunt and my grandma to breast ca. Sadly, if I run it again I will have to add for a few more times to honor. But what a joyful sketch and the feeling I got from it was the joy of hope and survival!
