Every Day in May 7
This lovely old oak tree near our middle school always catches my eye - it's large hole reminds me of the Charter Oak story (CT) and the lovely soft green foliage just emerging guaranteed it would be a EDMay entry. As usual I do not know what to do in the background ?? I added a dried up oak leaf and acorn found in my front yard. The cycle continues.

Sandy this tree is awesome!!
What a lovely painting!!
Beautiful! I like the way you have placed the leaf and acorn and also the nice little frame for the tree.
I love this compostion, the way you overlay the leaf and acorn on that wonderful tree.
Delightful... especially the leaf and acorn overlay... I really like the way the page is set up!
Wonderful page! It doesn't need a background: it's just right. Especially with the leaf and acorn pulling us in.
Sandy - this is a beautifully-composed page. The tree is so nicely painted, but that's only one of the things that makes this a treat to look at. Really impressed.
Finally one more and this one was WELL WORTH the wait...great job on the tree and the journaling....VERY NICE!!
This is such a terrific page. I like EVERYTHING about it. I love how you overlapped the leaf and made it a bit transparent. You have placed everything so nicely on the page with your text, and the tree is beautiful. EXCELLENT!
I LOVE this sketch! It is absolutely wonderful! You did a fantastic job.
Hey Sandy, due to Flickr, I never really drop by your blog. It's great to see your work in this setting. Altogether, at home. Great work.
Sandy - I love your paintings! Thanks for visiting my blog. :) Marva
