I purchased this artichoke just for sketching. I don't really like them as a separate dish, but fun to sketch, still not completely happy with the greens, I still have problems with greens, hopefully by months end I will have a handle on them.
This is GREAT, Sandy!! Greens are such a challenge -- they drove me nuts all weekend -- andall I have around me are GREENS!!! SIGH!! I love the tips of yellow and bits of red in this -- loose and lovely!!!! (You can send the artichoke my way -- I love them!! LOL)
I think your greens in this with your bits of other colors are fine.
Everywhere I look up here, all I see are varying shades of green. I've found that most of the time I'm mixing my own to get the variety that I need and adding other colors too.

Lovely fresh watercolour and an interesting crop.
Greens - ugh! Sketching outdoors, I'm starting to realise I don't have nearly enough greens in my coloured pencil collection.
Very lively greens in your artichoke! I think you did a beautiful job.

It's great Sandy! And I love to eat them too.
Your colors are wonderful! What a great way to tackle the May challenge.
Love this drawing/painting. I think the colors are just perfect and the whole has such a feeling of freshness and fun. Great job.
