Day in the life of a Lilly

A quick splash and splatter to represent the lovely day lilly - Right now they border so many of the side streets. Unfortunately any lillies in my yard are used as snacks by the deer ;-) Sad, that each bloom only lasts a day, as they make such a tall, strong bouquet.

So pretty Sandy and so free just like they are when they adorn the byways.

Very pretty, Sandy. I just finished planting my deck flowers and realized there may be an overabundance of oranges, which seems to be my favorite color this year. I like the weather report at the bottom of this painting, too!

Beautiful wonderful day lilies. I look out onto them as they bloom from my neighbors yard. They are so commonly planted by landscapers to fill large areas that get little care. These colorful flowering solgiers survive against all the odds!

Very pretty. I like the bright, fresh colors and the loose approach. I remember these from my childhood ... these flowers grew along side the road we lived on in upstate New York.
