Not in My Garden

Every year there are several oak seedlings in my perennial garden, cute, determined little baby trees - NOT fitting for the perennial beds. All too easy to remove and discard - makes me kind of sad.

Makes me sad too! Can you plant them somewhere else on the property and watch them grow? You could plant one for each grandchild! Great journal page....

Shirley's ideas are great. But you've also celebrated the little tree's life here in your sketchbook. That is something...

I like how you extended the root out of the frame in this drawing, and the vivid colors.

THis is a great idea for an illustrated journal entry. I like the way you high lighted the oak seedling with the blue background. In my yard it's maple seedlings. I spend my life pulling them out of planters and flower beds.
