EDM 185 Cat

Ok - I do not draw my animals very often, and my cat is most uncooperative! Zeke is 12 years old, long haired and black as coal. He is camera shy and when sleeping he resembles a fuzzy bowling ball - So this is my attempt and neither one looks like him at all!

I love the look of the sketch at the bottom! It has such character and expressive feeling to it. Nicely done--cats are hard to draw when they're awake! --or asleep for that matter! so what if it doesn't look like him--you did well!

Great page! I love the expression on his face--such a cat-thing. Your style is perfect for cats (color and strokes) it feels like he's a moving breathing animal. Really nice! Makes me want to go home now and draw one of my cats. . .do you think my boss will mind?

Great journal page, Sandy and no vet bill—your day will come. I especially like the small sketch at the bottom of the page where he is looking over his little kitty shoulder—very cute.

Nice compositions I liked how you used different medium for the same subject.

This is fabulous. I love your blog. I wish I could draw my cat this well. It is my goal to be able to do a decent drawing of her, hopefully soon. Wow! fabulous

Putting my cat phobia aside, I especially like the creature to the right of the journal page. They do have such personalities don't they?

Agree - a great journal page, and I love putting the two views of your cat on the page along with the text (paw prints?). I had to bookmark your blog so I can visit again.

Wonderful cat studies! I'm summoning the courage to sketch my own. How do I get him to hold still?

Very nice! I have the same problem- one cat is solid black and the other is a tuxedo cat. He's 17 years old! You did a great job!

Beautiful page! This cat has a lot of personality, even if the drawing doesn't completely look like you wanted.

I haven't attempted my cat yet, but the fact that you tried and came up with such a delightful image, even though short of your expectation, made me want to try. THanks for that!

I love both of those - but especially the one where he's looking back at you. Well done!
