Harry Lauder's Walking Stick - My favorite bush is coming to life (the actual sketch on the left showing signs of sprouts) On the right is my interpretation as the leaves open. Eventually the leaves conceal most of the intricate twists and twirls of the branches (now a good 7 feet tall and wide). Winter snow turns this into a stunning sculpture. The cat tail like thingies are the reseeding system.

This is such a beautiful page. Love the graceful lines.
That's one weird yet compelling plant. Never heard of it, either. May need to look into it, though. Great sketch.
