I adore peonies, they are close to blooming and I will have a ton soon. It seemed appropriate to try a sketch for Every Day in May .The after will probably come in June.
I regret the purple border- not the right shade -it seemed like a good idea at the time.

This is lovely! That bud is just bursting with potential. Peonies are my favorite too (I have many favorite flowers). Ours are just starting to leaf out - it's been a cold winter!
Oooh -- they are my new favorites, too. Ours are already finished blooming and I didn't take near enough photos ... so get your camera ready!

This is really lovely. My ponies are over now - I have promised myself that next year I shall draw them! (I rather like the boarder too!)
