Encounter of the Red kind

An encounter last week left me with a beautiful picture in my mind. Not more than 5 feet from my view through the window I was blessed with a good 10 minutes watching this lovely female cardinal as she viewed the landscape (and me) It was a lovely 10 minutes. I hope she decides to nest here.

If the cardinals are there then spring is close. Great post in your journal. A wonderful way to tick off the days of your life.

I love the combination of art and text. Your really captured, I think, the "attitude" of a cardinal!
Lots of robins here (southern NJ) lately--I hope I get a chance to paint one!

I really enjoy reading your words aswell as looking at your drawings. You must have so many interesting sketchbooks to look back at! Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful job! Cardinals are one of my favorite birds and you did a wonderful job capturing the essence of this one.
