Early Color

A few weeks ago I spend a rainy day binding my own sketch book . I decided to devote it to my garden exclusively. This was the first entry - which I didn't post. The garden has progressed, but I do love the first hyacinths appearance - so here they are. (and I need time to get used to this heavier WC paper)

Pretty! I have chionodoxa coming up in my garden. They are pushing up through the snow today!

Charming, Sandy. Isn't spring grand? And I am more than impressed that you bound your own journal.

The combination of the lovely printing, the words themselves and the images make a beautiful journal entry.

How pretty, and I love your fly in the header on your blog, Sandy. Thanks for the kind words on my blog as well. I really should do what you do here and make myself a garden journal. Lovely idea! And it would also help me remember when things start blooming each year...

Sandy,
I just read this post about making your own sketchbook! Did you love it? Your painting is wonderful on the heavy paper.
