Trip North

Determined to pass the time sketching, I took a small Winsor and Newton sketchbook and one pen on our trip north. It's not easy drawing in a moving car but it was Fun . Once at our destination I added text and a bit of color. It did pass the time, although frustrating to not have more time on any subject.
Then Reverse for return on Sunday ;-)

I love these. I have made many roadtrips in my life, especially when my husband and I lived in VA and would drive home to Chicago for visits with family... I never thought to bring my sketchbook. Love that idea.

I love your pages... Looking and reading them is like being in your trip. Thank you for sharing.

Hope you'll paste pages from Maine, too. I've been the places you mentioned, but never in one trip. If you happen to get to Lowell, MA, there is an amazing Quilt Museum. :-P

Nice travel journaling! The moving does add a dimension to the art form, doesn't it? But you still caught the essence of everything.

You drove right through my neighborhood (Hampton,NH) and I enjoyed seeing it through your eyes (and hands.) Have made several trips to Sunday River, as my boys learned to ski/board there! Lovely journaling, and so inspiring! Thanks for sharing.

These are great! I tried to draw on our trip with poor results... wobbly lines; and hard to get my left hand overhand which is the way I usually draw.
