Hotter than the Hubs of Hell

My Mother frequently used that phrase - Hotter than the Hubs of Hell - Not sure what it actually means except 'real hot'. It has been excessively hot up here in New England. For some reason I just have not had inspiration to draw - I miss it but can't fiind a subject that gets me going. When I crossed this poor little mouse on the back walkway I knew somehow I had to journal his tiny little body. I like mice - outside --- not in.

Poor little guy! It's been hot over here as well - but that's what summer is all about, I guess. We'll be looking back enviously on this time of year during those cold winter evenings...

Awwwww....the poor, wee mouse. I don't mind mice either, Sandy, and I prefer they stay outdoors too. Every couple of years in winter, we seem to get one in the house as they tend to seek the warmth indoors so we buy the 'catch & release' traps.

Wonderful sketch!

Sweet little mouse. Its nice that you chose to memorialize him!

I used to live in New England. Love it, miss it and frequently visit:)

Love your pages. It is so hot and so very humid and sticky here in western NY, too, that I am searching for ice...and shade...and fans...Keep cool. ♥Kathy

Who, but a sketch journaler, would see the connection between the weather, an air conditioner, a dead mouse and a diary entry? Nice work!
