I have long admired the Hydrangea family of shrubs, from the giant puffy snowballs to the delicate pink or blue lacecaps. Happily mine is blooming this year, even flourishing - no idea why but I thoroughly enjoyed this closeup study.

Lovely blooms. I love your journal posting. Beautiful tones in this little sketch.

I absolutely envy you of your handwriting and journal pages! Many of the items you feature are ones that I should be writing about too. My hydrangea flowers were gorgeous too. I even learned how to pick them so that they will continue to blossom and yet I don't write about it. Hopefully some of you will rub off on me and I'll get to this soon!!!
