EDM 154 Lemon x 2

Second try, a bit better I think, although I still did not achieve the glossy cellular interior of the sliced lemon. I simply cannot achieve a loose -free effect I love. Pencil and watercolor in Winsor & Newton journal.

I can come cry with you in the corner on that one! These came out beautifully even if you didn't quite capture the cellular translucence's you were after.

Hi Sandy, thanks for your nice comment on my blog. I think you did a great job on the lemons. If your looking for examples of "loose" watercolor check out Charles Reid. Really good at connecting background, forground, object and shadows for a very unified look.
