Autumn -so far

In response to Teri and her autumn 'bouquet'. I went out and collected some fallen leaves from the yard. Not much red yet - but it is early in Southern New England. I know the glorious sugar maples will not disappoint, so each week I will collect the most colorful and interesting leaves and sketch. I do Love autumn and this is a fitting tribute - thanks Teri!

I love the color and texture of these leaves; nicely drawn too.

Fun project. Several years ago I collected leaves in the fall and scanned them to use as inspiration for the Autumn wedding chuppah that I painted with resists and dyed. I should either get out the scans, or collect new leaves next month, and join you in this weekly project.

These are great. The leaves just 'pop' off the page. Looking forward to more!

What a neat idea! Our leaves have not started to turn yet but I am thinking I want to try this fall project. You inspired me!
